How to make Idlies

Ingredients required for making idlies.  

                                                 
  Step 1: Idlie rice 1 cup, urad dal 1 cup and 1 tsp of meti seeds.


Step 2 : Once soak the mixture for 4-6 hours and drain the water from the mixture and grind it to fine paste. leave it to ferment overnight.

Step 3: After fermentation the batter will increase in quantity and becomes thick. Add salt as required.

Step 4 : oil the idli plates and pour the batter into the plates with griddle. 
Step 5: pour the batter into the plates and arrange it accordingly to go into the idli cooker.

Step 6 : Put the cooker on the stove. it will take 15 min for a 4 stand cooker to cook.



Step 7: Soft idlies are ready to savour.



Leave the cooker to cool for a minute, then take a thick knife and remove the idlies from the plate.
